**CIVILS SUPERVISOR _ OLDBURY POWER STATION**

**JOB OVERVIEW**

Act as a representative of Mitie carrying out work at Oldbury Power Station. As Civils Supervisor you will be organising and setting to work our core team who carry out repair and upgrade works throughout the site.
- To ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification.
- Delegate work to the core team based on skill sets.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks alongside our Health and Safety Advisor
- Checking paperwork and service standards completed by the engineers.
- Managing sub-contractors
- Carry out allocated service work within agreed time schedules, adhering to the Mitie Maintenance Quality Management System and quality policy, and to the relevant industry guidelines and customer specifications.
- Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Manager.
- Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of your manager.
- Arrange quotes if required, in a timely manner & submit to the client in a professional manner for approval.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
- Work closely with the Helpdesk to ensure client requests are actioned appropriately.

**Main Duties**
- Assess work requests and scope documents.
- Plan work and arrange materials.
- Write RAMS where required.
- Organise and be part of the winter gritting rota.
- Work towards "competent person" so you can pull permits.
- Set both the core team and sub-contractors to work and supervisor the work throughout the day.
- Ensure any requests by the client are responded to and actioned.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Qualifications and experience in civil ground works along with general building
- Computer literate; it is estimated approximately 50% of the time will be PC based and 50% will be hands on.
- served a recognised trade training scheme.
- Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.
- Must have IOSH Managing safely or SMSTS.
- Customer care/relationship building skills.
- Able to work as a member of a team.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to conduct surveys throughout client sites.
- Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company.
