Qualified Social Worker Assessment Surrey 36 hours; full-time Social Care
**Your new company**Surrey County Council is looking to welcome experienced qualified social workers and senior professionals to join their permanent teams in Assessment across the county.
**Your new role**As a member of the assessment team, you will have previous experience undertaking Child and Family Assessments, S.47 inquiries, and intervention and planning for 'Children in Need.' You will use your professional knowledge to assess, monitor, and review theneeds of children, families, and caregivers, as well as to arrange for the delivery of appropriate care services. You will be devising individual care plans based on needs and risks and take appropriate action, in conjunction with other agencies, to protectvulnerable children. You will manage an agreed case load, offer support and guidance and monitor, review and reassess care packages/services to ensure continued effectiveness.
**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Degree in Social Work CQSW/DipSW or equivalent and registration as a social worker with the HCPC
- Hold extensive knowledge, expertise, and specialist communication skills in order to collect information and conduct a thorough assessment of the dangers, protection, and social care requirements of children, caregivers, and families.
- Communicate skilfully and engage in complex and high-risk situations including effective negotiating.
- Identify, attain and maintain high levels of practice
- High level working knowledge of relevant legislation and policies and procedures relating to Looked After Children, Children in Need and Children in the Child Protection System
