We are working in partnership with The Odiham Consolidated Charities (OCC)which provides sheltered almshouse accommodation as well as support for individuals and organisations in the parish of Odiham. Their almshouse accommodation is provided for older peoplepreviously resident in the parish who have financial and other needs. They work in collaboration with their residents’ families, to provide a cohesive community where residents are supported so that they can live rich and full lives through provision of anonsite manager, housing and friendship. OCC’s support for organisations and individuals in need includes financial assistance, grants and the provision of low cost housing.

They are seeking their next **Almshouse Community Manager**, following the retirement of the current post holder. Thenew**Community Manager** will need to be a positive, sincere, empathetic, and approachable individual. Facilitiesmanagement is also critical and, therefore, someone with appropriate experience is highly desirable. The role is wide ranging: from ensuring the properties remain well maintained to maintaining an oversight of the health and welfare of each resident.

This is a significant and rewarding role that will require the post holder to demonstrate the following:

- A proven track record of facilities/property management
- Strong relationship building skills to support the residents as well as liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, eg H&S and Safeguarding
- Broad understanding of UK care, health, welfare and benefits systems
- The ability to manage a varied workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You will be a proactive and positive individual with a light touch yet excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have high attention to detail and not be afraid to take ownership of issues and work to a resolution. Due to the varied natureof the role, you will have a flexible approach with the ability to prioritise and plan ahead ensuring that the welfare and wellbeing of the residents is at the forefront of all your work.
