**Job Purpose**_: _**
- To support the Quality department on goods inward and final product inspection to ensure quality requirements are fulfilled.
- To ensure that all inspection work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organise/undertake the inspection of goods in and populate reports in line with received condition.
- Undertake inspection of product, generation of quality reports and approve release to despatch.
- Issue internal Non-Conformance Reports where necessary.
- Promote and deploy a policy of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- The operation,care and maintenance of all measuring and test equipment.
- Calibration of plant measuring and test equipment both internally and by external vendor.
- Perform NDT inspections on product when required.
- Undertake stage and 1st off inspections where required.
- Participate in department 5s program.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
**Knowledge, Skills, Education, Training and Experience**:
This position requires the following training or relevant experience:

- Qualified with an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
- Competent with the use of external and internal micrometres.
- Non-Destructive Testing; ultrasonic and dye penetrant examination (preferred)
- Operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Motivated and conscientious individual with a methodical, systematic approach.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
**Experience**:

- Quality Control Inspectors: 1 year (preferred)
- Ultrasonic Testing: 3 years (preferred)
- Dye Penetrant Testing: 3 years (preferred)
- CMM: 3 years (preferred)
