- The Head of Operations will have strategic and tactical responsibility and vision for implementing a forward-thinking production strategy that maximises efficiency, drives operational excellence that will optimise production levels. You will be working with internal and external stakeholders across the TADE UK group. You will be seeking for best in class production and business practices to deliver against customer expectations, managing teams and projects across the multiple business units.You will be working with site leadership teams to develop best practice toolsets that can drive operational commonality across the TADE UK businesses.You will be providing strong and clear leadership standards that will motivate and inspire operational and engineering teams to achieve the company goals and standards, whilst mentoring managers to develop new skills and leadership practices.Taking responsibility for and driving the overall Communication & Management of Operational reporting results and leadership of the Operational functions across the business units within Material supply, Business planning, Support facilities and Manufacturing.**Responsibilities**:
- Being responsible for ensuring the Operational functions across the segment work to achieve the committed Budget & OPRES targets whilst maintaining cost, quality and delivery commitments to both internal and external customers.
- Develop internal strategy to improve and grow the businesses in conjunction with the local business unit Senior leadership teams.
- Identification of and mitigating action of risk & opportunity within all operational and project led plans.
- Help the business achieve Yearly, Monthly & weekly Orders, Sales, cash & Earning targets.
- Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).
- Provide information on and maintain key performance indicators, Operational excellence in line with business objectives & initiatives and provide Business planning, Sales & Operations Planning data and forecasting information requirements internally and externally to TDY on a regular basis.
- Overall budgetary responsibility for all material, direct and indirect labour operational overhead costs in line with targets. Responsibility for and reporting of improvement initiatives (for example 80/20 & inventory reduction).
- Capacity analysis of people, parts & equipment. Define, acquire & manage resource requirements in terms of space, efficiency, manpower, tools & equipment to meet commitments and future growth requirements.
- Be a part of the group TADE UK Senior leadership team providing regular performance updates to the group GM/VP.
- Support and oversee Operational Management functions. Managing and leading workforce through management chain of command.
- Management of internal and external resource making decisions to meet the Business plans.
- Internal liaison with other departments within the business units.
- Customer and Supplier point of contact for escalation outside of the normal communication channels
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement & supporting CI initiatives and Risk & opportunity management
- Succession planning and staff development through appraisal, training & development of all senior operations employees to carry out their duties and continue to develop to their best potential.
- Input to customer bids, generating proposals and engaging with existing and new customer to facilitate new business in conjunction with Sales and Product Line Managers.
- Maintenance of and compliance with Company operating procedures and processes.
- Ensure all HS&E requirements are supported, maintained, updated and complied with in conjunction with HS&E Advisor.
- Ensure all Quality requirements, Corporate and regulatory requirements are supported maintained, always updated and complied with in line with business unit management system and Corporate expectations
