We are looking to recruit Support Workers and Relief Workers within our residential home who care about making ever moment matter for the people we support.
**Job title: Support Worker/Carer**
**Salary**: £12.00 per hour + 20p location enhancement, plus associated allowances & premiums. - 'sleep in' shift payments
**Hours**:Full time (40 hours per week) rostered to cover needs of the service. Shifts cover: 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am, plus a sleep in shift.
**Location**: Glynorgwr, Bridgend (CF35 postcodes)

**About us**
We provide specialist supported accommodation for adults with a learning disability and Autism. There may also be dual diagnosis of mental health alongside. The people we support have complex needs and challenging behaviour.
The people we support are active individuals and our days are filled with fun, educational activities. We access the vocational service provided by the company alongside planning our own days out. Days out are planned to suit each individual we support and have previously had days out to Sea Life, Folly Farm, West midlands safari park and Oakwood Park. The people we support also enjoy time away from the house and go on holiday.
**Job Summary**:
- To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
- Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
- As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
**Qualifications, Training & Experience**:
- Some work, personal or voluntary experience of supporting vulnerable people.
- Must be literate and numerate or be willing to work with Values in Care on attaining a basic level of skills.
- Must have or be willing to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Full driving licence is desirable
