The successful candiate will be working as part of a busy family business selling car parts to the local community. They will be expected to load up 5/6 drops and then deliver these before returning to the shop to receive there next delivery run.

This is initially a temporary role to cover sickness ut had the potential for a more permanent position if a suitable candiate is found. Initially you would be expected to work 4/5 days a week working an 8 hour day.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any delays, issues, or changes in delivery schedule
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 1 month

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bedfordshire, LU5 4NP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
