Job Title: General Operative

Job Summary:
FPS Flexible Packaging Solutions provides FIBCs or Big Bags, container liners, and other flexible packaging for chemicals, foods, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and many other sectors.

We are recruiting for General Operatives to work on a fast paced production line on a permanent basis at our site in Dalton, Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

General duties will include but not limited to:

- Work as part of the production team in production area.
- Filling out relevant paperwork for your area.
- Keeping your work area clean and tidy according to high Health and Safety requirements.
- Ensuring all key indicators and targets are exceeded.
- Assist the Plant Manager with operational duties.
- Ensure finished product is prepared to the correct shipping standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisor.
- Carrying out a variety of physical manual handling tasks as instructed, lifting equipment and products up to 25kg.
- Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in and the plant in general. This includes good housekeeping

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Good level of written and verbal English
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in a team as well as alone
- Positive hardworking attitude
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn new skills

Transportation to and from Thirsk is available for those who require it for a small charge.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.68-£13.92 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
