Working Pattern: 5 from 7. (May include weekend work)

Johnsons Hotel Linen (Leeds) are seeking to recruit a Yard Co-Ordinator. The role of the Yard Co-Ordinator will be to manage the incoming soiled linen cages and ensure that the Yard is organised & accessible to provide the correct linen types to sorting as required. Other associated duties not exhaustive are listed below.
- **Most of the role will be based outside in the Yard, and full PPE and appropriate clothing will be provided.**_

Reporting to the Deputy Transport Manager

**Responsibility of the role include**:
**Yard Co-Ordinator**
- You will ensure that Yard Safety is of paramount importance and work with line management to challenge any Safety concerns or issues.
- Work with the transport team to manage & co-ordinate offloading of soiled cages by route and linen type.
- Organisation of the Yard square footage to keep designated linens available for use and accessible**.**
- Organisation of Empty Available Cages
- Ensure that all incoming deliveries can safely be unloaded, and that sufficient space is available to unload, or preparation made for deliveries.
- You will be expected to bring cages into the building to keep sorting area fully supplied with soiled cages.
- Desirable: trained to operate the FLT.
- You will be expected to count daily actual cages in Yard and submit to Line Management.
- You will be expected to work unsupervised and pro-actively.
- You will communicate with Shift Leaders on soiled organisational plans.
- You will record any near misses that occur in the Yard.
- Updating the Yard Organisational Board.
- Generating Ideas to improve Organisation of the Yard & implement agreed ideas.
- COSHH Training for supporting in offloading chemical deliveries will be given.
- You will support the organisation of RAG collections & loading of the collection. (Subject to FLT)
- You will support the loading of the DD Artic with clean or soiled linen when required.
- Other duties associated with Yard Management (not exhaustive) including perimeter cleaning, organisation & removal of debris.
- Act as Banksman in the Yard - training will be provided.

This is a full - time position, post completion of satisfactory probationary period.
