Heanor Community Centre is based in the heart of Heanor and provides halls to hire for parties, activities and events. We are opening a cafe at the front of the building to provide hot drinks, good food and a warm welcome.

Heanor Community Centre are looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to help run our newly opened Community Cafe, based in Heanor town centre.

The Cafe will be open from 9am to 2pm on weekdays and will serve a variety of hot drinks and basic hot and cold food.

The Community Centre Cafe Assistant role will entail the below responsibilities:

- Serving food and hot drinks to customers
- Preparing and cooking food
- Cleaning the kitchen and seating areas at end of shift
- Ensuring food hygiene standards are maintained
- Helping to plan food menus and order ingredients
- Taking and managing bookings for hire of the halls in the centre
- Helping to advertise the centre using social media and digital advertising

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
