These opportunities are available within the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) based in Norwich. The jointly funded partnership between Norfolk Constabulary and NHS England aims to improve the care offered to victims of rape and serious sexual assault.

**It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Working knowledge of impact of sexual violence on adults and children
- Demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in an organised manner
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with partner agencies
- Ability to work unsupervised in a responsible manner
- Ability to travel as required in order to meet the one-hour response/attendance time window when contact is made
- Ability to work on-call outside normal office hours including weekends, as required

**It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adult issues
- Recognised qualification in social work, counselling or nursing
- Experience of undertaking risk assessments
- Basic keyboard skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Hours on call will be between 1700 - 0800 as well as providing 24 hour cover over the weekend. You will be expected to cover no more than one shift per week and or the weekend. Applicants must live within easy reach of Norwich and have access to transport for out of hours travel.
