- **Birmingham, London, or Bristol**.- The role of the Finance Business Partner involves providing financial and commercial support to key stakeholders, facilitating informed business decisions, and enhancing financial and commercial performance.- Our unit, FND (Fibre and Network Delivery), is responsible for the extensive fibre build, connecting and serving our Ethernet customers, as well as managing our National Infrastructure, which includes enabling our CPs to utilise passive infrastructure access ("PIA"), overseeing safety programs, and generating income from operations such as copper recovery & activities like price hedging and forward copper sales. FND plays a crucial role at the core of the Openreach mission.- As the Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate with the business to achieve successful financial outcomes, develop challenging yet achievable plans, and support sound commercial and financial decision-making. Your responsibilities will encompass business partnering the Heavy Cable Recovery business, overseeing some financial instruments, and managing the overall resourcing for National Infrastructure to ensure efficient resource allocation.- We work together in the office for three days a week, and for the remaining two days, we have the flexibility to work from any location you wish. In the past, this role was shared by two individuals in a job-share partnership, so please don't hesitate to inquire about job-share or flexible working options for this position.**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Commercial and Decision Support:
- Providing commercial and financial support for business cases within the Network Delivery domain.
- Influencing financial decisions by offering comprehensive financial and commercial expertise.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Communicating unit and total costs to the business for the relevant area.
- Collaborating with commercial and transformation teams to analyse and forecast long-term trends and delivering financial insights for decision-making purposes.
- Financial Performance:
- Taking accountability for achieving financial targets, including monthly reporting, outlook, and the Medium-Term Plan (MTP) for Heavy Cable Recovery (HCR) and National Infrastructure reporting.

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- A fully qualified accountant or possessing further qualifications to support their specialisation, with significant post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Proficiency in clear and concise communication, capable of articulating the business's performance to diverse non-finance audiences.
- A pragmatic team player who excels at holding others accountable through a challenging yet supportive approach, consistently fulfilling their own commitments.
- Strong skills in managing multiple stakeholders and projects within tight deadlines, coupled with the ability to navigate and resolve ambiguity.
- Demonstrates leadership, champions causes, and adeptly manages conflicting priorities. Also serves as an advisor and coach to team members, both within their own team and across departments, formulating operational guidelines and offering in-depth knowledge and guidance in their specialised area.
