Senior Stylist

**Job description**

Location: Elem Didcot, 55 Orchard Street, The Orchard Centre, Didcot, OX11 7LG

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week between Monday to Sunday.

**Salary**: Excellent basic salary of £24 to £28k (depending on experience and level), plus commission, plus tips, ensuring you can easily earn upwards of £40k P/A.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Consult with clients to understand their needs and desired look
- Provide hair services including cutting, styling, colouring, and treatments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space
- Manage bookings and scheduling appointments, as necessary
- Offer and sell appropriate products to clients for hair care at home
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, styles, and techniques
- Participate in continuous education and professional development
- Build and maintain a strong client base through excellent customer service
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, as needed

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or equivalent.
- Ideally have at least 5 years’ experience in a professional salon setting.
- Demonstrable expertise in cutting, styling, and coloring.
- Ideally have a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
