**JOB ROLE: COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT HANDLER**

**LOCATION: STOCKPORT**

**SALARY: £35,000 - £40,000 PLUS BENEFITS**

Are you a Commercial Account Handler with strong technical competence and great experience within the commercial broking arena?

If so, an interesting new opportunity has come market for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to work for a specialist independent insurance broker out of offices in the Stockport area.

**THE ROLE**:
This role, which has come about due to a development in business, will involve supporting one of the existing Account Executives with a mixed commercial book of business. You will largely be dealing with existing business, with only a fraction of the roledealing with new business prospects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Account Handler to have genuine career progression opportunities whilst working in a secure and professional broking business

Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting one of the Account Executives in servicing a book of commercial business.
- Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, extensions and queries.
- Dealing with more complex client queries and mid-term adjustments.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
- Providing a first class service to clients at all times and ensuring excellent standards are met.

**YOU**:

- Proven cross-class commercial insurance experience in an Account Handler capacity.
- A technically minded individual with a strong understanding of the commercial insurance market with knowledge of a wide range of products.
- Experience of dealing with low to mid-level corporate clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability and confidence to manage and maintain solid professional working relationships with experience of attending in-person client meetings preferable.
- Effective negotiation skills are also required, to get the best deal possible for clients.
