Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region. We are working in partnership with Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind to deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.

**Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)**

**Full time and Part time positions available (22.5hpw minimum)**

**Salary Scale: £30,000 - £31,500 pro rata to hours worked.**

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service providing PWP Modality interventions in our IAPT pathway, working with adults aged 16+ within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme. PWPs deliver a variety of IAPT interventions, including face to face, telephone, and digital based work.

**The post holders will hold an IAPT PWP recognised qualification**, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to meet specified targets in order to deliver a high-quality Primary Care Mental Health Service.

Job Outline

The Postholder will provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme as part of Impacts Primary Care Psychological Wellbeing Therapies Team serving GP Practices across the NHS Tees area.

They will assist in coordinating the delivery of timely and effective Low Intensity interventions in collaboration with the PWP Leads and Locality Managers. They will provide guidance and support to staff in the Duty Team. They will provide line management and clinical supervision to qualified and trainee PWPs.

This position may require flexible hours between 8am until 8pm weekdays.

Main

**Responsibilities**:
**1. To assist in coordinating and supporting delivery of Low Intensity Interventions across Teesside**
- To monitor waiting lists for LI interventions and to liaise with Locality Managers and others to ensure timely transitions from referral to LI treatment.
- To provide support and guidance to staff within the Duty Team
- To support the PWP Leads in training, mentoring and developing CPD for trainee and qualified PWPs, including liaison with universities and support with the PWP Registration process.
- To manage trainee and qualified PWPs
- To provide LI case management and clinical supervision to individuals and groups
- To liaise with Senior PWP staff in wider IAPT regional and national networks to ensure consistency of best practice.

**2. To work as a member of the Impact on Teesside Team**
- To create and maintain effective working relationships within the Impact on Teesside team and elsewhere.
- To offer advice and support to other members of wider Primary Care services, including GPs and other Health Professionals, on mental health issues, and in relation to appropriate referral pathways for patients with mental health needs.
- To liaise effectively with Secondary Care and voluntary sector organisations and services
- To attend meetings and provide reports as required.
- To assist in the development and promotion of the service

**3. To provide a range of therapeutic interventions**
- To provide assessment, including risk assessment, of clients referred for psychological therapy within the Impact on Teesside service.
- To select and deliver a range of appropriate low-intensity CBT therapeutic interventions in collaboration with the client, including SilverCloud, psychoeducational groups and one-to-one support, to be delivered over the telephone, face-to-face or digitally.
