About the role
- As a position with people at its core, your role will be incredibly dynamic and see you doing different things and meeting with different team members every day.
- Working with the People and Culture (P&C) Partner, you’ll act as the first point of contact for all HR queries ensuring that a top quality, timely and responsive service is delivered.
- You’ll ensure that we are fully compliant on all Right to Work, PVG and Driving Licence checks across the Estate.
- Supporting the Head of P&C and the P&C Partner, you’ll coordinate and provide relevant and innovative learning and development solutions, helping us develop policies and procedures that meet legal guidelines and best practice.
- You’ll complete the monthly payroll submission for monthly and hourly paid employees to Moorepay’s bureau service, also submitting the Auto-Enrolment data to The People’s Partnership and ensuring pension deductions and memberships are accurate within Moorepay.
- You’ll manage a wide range of Employee Relations cases, assisting staff members across departments with a variety of issues.

Who we are looking for
- You’re a self-starter with an enthusiastic, patient, and flexible approach to work.
- A genuine passion to make a difference will see you thrive in this role, and you take pleasure in problem solving and helping others.
- Proven experience in an HR function with a solid understanding of Employment legislation and Employee Relations is essential, and you’re either CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD accreditation.
- You’re detail-oriented, highly organised, and have the numerical skills to produce reports and submit payroll accurately and on time.
- As a flexible team player with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively, you can work at pace and enjoy what you do
- You have experience working with highly sensitive data and information in a confidential manner.
- You’re capable of using your oral and written communication skills to support and influence people at all levels with confidence, translate complex situations into easily understandable terms, and manage a wide range of Employee Relations cases.

About gratuities & service charge
- Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to room rates and other services at the Club that is passed directly to staff) are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of their role.
- It is estimated that in 2024, full-time staff can expect to receive around £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
