We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated support workers to join us to help our clients thrive in their everyday lives. Our service in Llanelli supports 3 adults with learning disabilities to live independently in their community.

This is a permanent position for 16 hours per week. This service needs to be staffed 24/7 so you will be required to work various shift patterns including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep in shifts as part of a rolling rota. Day shifts are typically split between 7am-11pm, with sleeps ins as extra.

**What is the Role?**

You will contribute to enabling people to set, develop and achieve their goals, being part of which is highly rewarding.

You will be involved in all aspects of day to day support for our clients, including;
- Supporting with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and laundry
- Planning support on Pobl documents
- Attending support reviews
- Supporting clients to keep in touch with family and friends
- Accompanying them to attend activities of choice
- Encouraging them to find jobs voluntary work
- Support with medication and health visits
- Providing social and emotional support

**What skills and experience do you need?**

Experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities and mental health is not essential as you will benefit from full training and support from your team and management.

More important to us are your listening skills, empathy, a genuine desire to make a difference and live our values to be **Positive, Considerate** and **Connected.**

For this role you will require an **Enhanced DBS check**, which we pay for.

To work in this role you will need to be registered with Social Care Wales. If you’re not already we’ll help you do this as part of your recruitment process.

A driver is preferred, but not essential.
