We are seeking to recruit a newly qualified (0-2 PQE) solicitor or legal executive to join our growing professional indemnity team in Leeds.

Our team is well known for defending complex professional negligence claims against a wide range of professionals. The team defends claims against solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, insurance brokers, architects, engineers, surveyors and technologyand media professionals. We also provide policy coverage advice.

We act for a number of large and high profile insurer clients and their insureds, defending court proceedings in the High Court and County Court as well as disciplinary proceedings.The team embraces all forms of alternative dispute resolution, includingadjudication and mediation.

The team is made up of two partners, two directors, three associates, five solicitors, one paralegal and a trainee solicitor and is continuing to grow.

We are looking for a newly qualified lawyer to join our team, ideally with experience of defending professional negligence claims, but certainly with experience of complex commercial litigation.You will need to demonstrate an understanding of key principlesrelevant to commercial litigation and professional negligence claims.

As a new member of our team, you would work under the supervision of all four partners and directors in our team, giving you the opportunity to learn by acting on the widest range of claims and to develop your own specialisms.

You would spend two or more days per week in the office, but the role comes with flexibility as to where to spend the rest of your time.You will need to demonstrate strong motivation and attention to detail.You will need to be able to work well as partof a group, as you will work as part of a team in defending claims.
