**The Team**:
Supporting our Head of People and our dedicated People Team for the Group Functions at MAG who work alongside ExCo Directors to deliver our People Plan. To ensure successful delivery of all people aspects it’s our job to help shape and implement a future focused plan including all change management, organisational design, talent acquisition, development, employee relations and engagement.
**The Role**:
As a People Advisor for Group Functions, based at Manchester Airport, you will be a key member of the People Team. Working closely with our People Partners, you’ll support the Group Functions to ensure we provide a best-in-class people service. Some of your duties will include:
- Working closely with our business leaders, coaching them and building trusted relationships to enable them to be the best that they can be.
- Supporting managers with generalist HR advice, policy support, employee relations, including case management.
- Ensuring processes are adhered to in line with employment law.
- Engaging with our on-site union representatives, supporting in meetings and helping to maintain our relationship.
- Providing accurate data and statistics in a clear, concise format.
**What will make you successful in this role?**
You’ll be passionate about people and love working in an environment where every day is different. You’ll have previous people advisor experience, with a great working knowledge of HR policies and procedures. You’ll be an employee relations expert, capable of managing challenging, complex and, most of all, interesting cases. You’ll be data literate and be a proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams. You’ll also be a great team player, with a can-do approach, as well as an effective communicator, able to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You’ll ideally have previous experience of working with Trade Unions although this is not essential.
