Buyer- Construction

We are seeking a Buyer to join our team.

Ideally seeking a person with construction experience or with Plumbing Merchant experience - ordering materials within the Mechanical trade, familiarity with the terminology of such products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Obtaining and compare material quotations
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Monitoring of price increases
- Ensure materials are delivered to sites in line with site program and specification and are purchased at competitive prices.
- Collaborate with the construction director and site engineer to ensure timely delivery of material orders required.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels.
- Assist the site teams in chasing deliveries, keeping build and site managers informed of any delays.
- Assist in the collation of documentation and issuing of material tender enquires for new sites/phases.
- Producing site specific material schedules
- Monitor internal stocking levels and process material order as and when required.

**Requirements**:

- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
- Demonstrate good IT Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
