Sutton on Sea, United Kingdom National Trust Full time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional to support the delivery of a series of construction projects including one major project that will convert a former golf course into a new 25-hectare nature reserve, providing new wildlife habitats and experiences for people. Our plans also include the redevelopment of the former clubhouse into a visitor welcome centre that is accessible to all and using techniques and technologies that enable a carbon neutral operation.

You’ll have experience of coordinating a large and complex project that include construction elements as well as an interest in and commitment to delivering real benefits to nature, people and heritage.

**What it's like to work here:This vacancy is included in a trial of the ‘Disability Confident’ scheme (level 1).**

We also have a hybrid working arrangement. The distance between Sandilands and North Norfolk is 3 hours, via car. You’ll mainly work from home however, some attendance on site will be required, which on average will be 1 day per week.

The acquisition of Sandilands in 2020 was the Trust’s first foothold along the Lincolnshire Coast, helping to realise our ambitious plans to connect the fragmented existing nature reserves along the coast. Sandilands will become the destination of choice, welcoming locals, tourists and day trippers, active users and nature enthusiasts. Planning is already well under way to build a brand new, all year-round visitor operation that will provide a ‘gateway’ for people into nature that is fully accessible.

What you'll be doing:Reporting to a Project Manager you’ll be part of a wider project team spread across the Midlands and East of England. You will coordinate the major Sandilands project as well as support construction projects based in our portfolios in North Norfolk; including a major infrastructure project on the coast and some smaller conservation projects at our mansion properties.

Who we're looking forWe’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Experience of successfully coordinating large and complex projects including reporting, managing risk, and compliance
- Experience of monitoring and reporting on project finance and funding
- Experience of record management and information systems
- Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Either a degree in a relevant field, a recognised project management qualification or progress towards one
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders

The packageThe National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
