**Who are we?**

Llechwen Hall Hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the Cynon Valley.

‘Llechwen’, a traditional Welsh word, translates as "White Slate" and it is thought that at some time in Llechwen Hall's history, the building's roof was constructed with beautiful white slate. Originating as a charming country house, Llechwen Hall first became a hotel in 1990. In previous years the hall has had a variety of uses, from being a farmhouse, to a private Welsh long-house and once, even a small primary school.

We currently have a 44-bedroom hotel, an award-winning restaurant and 4 unique event-spaces with a capacity of up to 300 guests, including hotel suites, The Jailhouse, and marquee.

**Who are we looking for?**

Llechwen Hall Hotel are looking for eager individuals to join our Kitchen Porter team, whether this be helping prepare an event extra special or helping deliver fantastic food & drink service in our award-winning restaurant.

**What would a typical shift be like?**

One day you could be helping kitchen prepare for events, and the next day ensuring our kitchen back of house area is clean and tidy, including keeping or food preparation areas hygienic.

We are a 24-hour operation, so shifts vary from morning, daytime, evening & overnight. A typical shift would be 7-10 hours long with plenty of refreshment breaks. Due to events, our busy period varies by week. You’ll know your shifts well in advance and we can be flexible on individual working patterns.

Here’s some of the tasks you’ll be expected to do:

- Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen areas and equipment are kept throughout service.
- Collecting and washing up dirty kitchen & restaurant equipment.
- Keeping work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised at all times.
- Ensuring that crockery, cutlery and equipment are clean and ready for service.
- Helping with basic food preparation and cooking tasks when required.
- Managing the emptying of bins, waste and recycling in the kitchen.
- Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly deep cleaning duties in line with company guidelines.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £7.50-£11.00 per hour
