Our Subsea Performance & Transformation department are now looking for a Environmental / HSSE Specialist. This role can be UK or Norway based.
**What will you be doing?**:
Support enterprise Subsea carbon management strategy for Scope 3, with the responsibility for Scope 3 emissions data management and analysis. Track, inventory and work closely with business unit partners to develop and execute strategies for meeting carbon footprint goals across Aker Solutions Subsea value chain (operations, supply chain and product design functions). This shall be accomplished primarily through collaboration and alignment with other functions internal and external to design and implement the GHG inventory models and/or other analytical methods to identify, communicate and develop strategies for mitigating enterprise level carbon risks and opportunities.
- Engage supply chain and other part of the value chain for transparency, carbon reduction, and sustainability performance
- Support the development and execute short term and long-term strategies to meet enterprise carbon goals and setting of science-based targets in close collaboration with business unit and value chain partners.
- Develop energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, and other environmental inventories including data analysis, emission factor development, calculation methodology, and support in third party environmental reporting certification.
- Identify long term environmental/carbon risks & opportunities; develop and implement strategies to address/mitigate.
- Managing Scope 3 data collection and data quality policies and processes by developing and maintaining systems and processes for data collection, verification, and reporting.
- Identification and integration of new data sources to improve the accuracy and completeness of Scope 3 emissions data.
- Collaborate with digital experts to develop and model integrated solutions to the environmental impact (footprint) of products and supply chain by collecting Environmental data.
- Advocate for sustainability through direct interaction with suppliers, project teams, and provide internal and external training.
**We think you should have**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, environmental science or similar program.
- 4-6 years related experience in processing environmental data, supporting business Sustainability development strategy, or sustainability practice.
- Excellent communication and influence skills. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions.
- Execution experience of carbon reduction across scope 1, 2 and 3 categories with track record of significant results.
- Strong understanding and experience working with industry best practices as it relates to carbon reporting & accounting protocols and associated science - including good understanding of frameworks like GHG protocol, TCFD, GRI, CDP and implementation of Science Based Targets
- Ability to lead, collaborate and motivate internal and external stakeholders
