A great opportunity has become available for a reliable and skilled **IT Apprentice**to join a dynamic regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles. Based in **Portsmouth**, you will join them on a **full-time, permanent basis**(40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm, Mon-Fri), and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary of £17,500 - £18,000 per annum and excellent benefits.**

**Key responsibilities as their IT Apprentice**:

- Assist with the day-to-day running of the IT department, including liaison with their vendors and suppliers, and monitoring of their IT Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Support with promoting best IT security practices
- Assist with the optimisation and utilisation of their licenses and subscriptions, and with making related processes more efficient
- Assist with the installation and configuration of software and hardware of ICT assets, as well as the ongoing maintenance and support of those if it falls outside of their IT MSP’s scope, or as need arises
- Support with the version control, review of their bespoke Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and support with the deployment of those to mobile devices
- Support with policy creation and general housekeeping of their Mobile Device Management platform
- Support with IT asset procurement through their well-established vendors and periodical market research
- Support with keeping their IT systems secure and compliant with company policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for the ICT department
- Assist with the investigation of IT incidents, ensuring that their IT MSP resolves any issues quickly and efficiently

**What they are looking for in their IT Apprentice**:

- Full Driving Licence is required
- You will ideally need to have 5 GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C), preferably including Maths and English. If you do not have these, you will need to undertake Functional Skills as part of your apprenticeship program
- Determination to provide a great service to their customers
- Committed to learning and progressing every day whilst developing a successful career
- Good communication skills
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow through on tasks
- Keen to learn and develop
- Ability to view and improve processes to make them more efficient
- Good problem-solving skills
