**About the Employer**

We are looking to recruit two Personal Assistant (‘s) to complete our team. We are a couple in our 40’s and 30’s living in the Chesterfield S42 area of Derbyshire and require support with all aspects of daily living.

Our health conditions affect our mental health, memory, communication and speech and we have mobility issues. We have severe fatigue, chronic pain and may require the use of a wheelchair.

Please note the Employer has a pet dog.

**Summary of Duties**

The duties include.
- Personal Care
- Administering medication
- Household domestic tasks including helping with our small garden
- Look after small friendly family dog
- Support to attend appointments and access my community.
- Meal preparation and support with eating
- To push a wheelchair
- Support with hobbies
- Support with daily living including going out shopping and day trips etc.
- Develop a good and trusting one-to-one long term working relationship.
- To support with care of and use of PEG feeding tube. Appropriate training will be provided.

Our needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You may be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to your role.

**The Person They Are Looking For**

The person we are looking for should be patient, caring, supportive, reliable, understanding, good at time keeping and be able to remain calm under pressure.

The ability to develop and build a good trusting long term working relationship.

Be able to work flexibly, adapting to the employers needs daily.

Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and respect our privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.

To be able to follow instructions accurately.

Be self-motivated with a willingness to get involved to learn new things and have a sense of humour.

To be empathic, have good listening skills and be able to provide non-judgmental emotional support.

Experience of dealing with medication is preferred, but not essential because training will be provided both on the job and formal training.

You will be required to administer medication. (There is a minimum age restriction for this).

Flexibility is essential as the hours may be variable including additional hours which include covering illness and overtime. In addition to the advertised hours there will be a requirement to cover other PAs annual leave.

Full driving license is essential as the role requires you to possibly drive the employer’s vehicle.

Car Owner and full driving license essential (business insurance required) you will be required to use your car to take me to appointments and out in the community.

**The Times Required**

*The total 46 hours (minimum) are available for an additional two PA’s

There is some flexibility in the working Rota’s, days and hours, this can be discussed further at the interview.

Example summer Rota below,

Monday 9.00am to 6.00pm and 7pm to 9.00pm

Tuesday 9.00am to 6.30pm and 7.00pm to 9.00pm

Wednesday 9.00am to 7.00pm and 7.00pm to 9.pm

Thursday 9.00am to 6.00pm and 7.00pm to 9.00pm

Friday 9.00am to 7.00pm and 7.00pm to 9.00pm

Saturday 8.00am to 6.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Sunday 8am to 1.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm

During the winter, the start time at the weekend will be 9am.

Flexibility is essential as the hours may be variable including additional hours excluding essential additional hours to cover other PA’s annual leave.

The working Rota’s, days and hours will be discussed further at the interview.
