We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced head of programmes, reporting to the Managing Director.
**The Role**:

- Management of Project Management Group (PMG) ensuring day-to-day activity priorities set and Delta-Cosworth projects are organized in a professional manner to achieve deliverables.
- Development of PMG staff professional skills, undertake appraisals and follow-up development actions.
- Ensure all programmes run by the PMG have uniform detailed plans including documentation to cover Project Plans, Functional Plans, Risk Register and Issues.
- Develop and maintain Business Performance KPIs to assist the Senior Management Group (SMG) in their decision making.
- Maintenance of generic project resource / financial tracker and forecasts.
- Ensure ongoing programmes are understood and where applicable flag issues with programme, budget timing or milestones.
- Maintain and track Risk Register activities to mitigate company exposure.
- Support Business Development on project quotations and plan proposals.
- Customer facing to support project proposals and PMG during projects.
- Develop PMG staff and tools to support implementation of business expansion strategy.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
- Experience in programme management and the management of a small team.
- Experience leading delivery and integration, employing pre-emptive risk and issue management.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity to pilot new business initiatives, whilst utilising existing programme management skills.
- Strong track record of delivering process development and transformation projects with problem solving skills.
- Experienced at building effective cross functional relationships with strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
- Evidence of leadership skills and ability to drive positive business outcomes.

**Desirable**:

- Formal Project Management qualification e.g., PRINCE or other such recognised methodology.
- Experienced in interfacing with core engineering functions.
- An understanding of Agile mindset & approaches.
- Experienced with cycle plan, portfolio and complexity management.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
