Character Artist

Role: Character Artist
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 18 months

Pay Rate: £180PD
Trust in soda are partners with a world leading global tech company in their search for a Character Artist for an 18 month contract.
They're looking for a talented artist who can demonstrate a variety of character art pieces, including both stylised and realistic designs.

**Responsibilities**:

- To create character art content to the level of quality and timings, as directed
- Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations
- Make balanced and rational decisions on the production of assets
- Report Progress and flag Risks and Issues
- Assist with quality control over outsourced artwork

Required Skills and Experience
- Outstanding portfolio that demonstrates variety of character art pieces, including both stylised and realistic designs.
- Comfortable creating both humanoid and creature-based assets.
- Experience using industry-standard content-creation software and engines (Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Marmoset Toolbag, Unreal 5 etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of X-gen or equivalent hair/fur creation software is desirable.
- Full understanding of character creation pipeline - Modelling/ Sculpting/ Texturing/ Material setup/ Editor integration.
- Experience in giving feedback to outsourcers a plus.
