**Job Description**:

HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells, and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We bring over 236 different products to the market, ranging from the smallest pallet truck to 48 tonne container handling trucks.

Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Tool Design), the main responsibility of this role is the manufacture and maintenance of tools and fixtures across all production departments. This will involve:

- Bench work encompassing assembly of jigs and fixtures.
- Operation of major tool room machines such as CNC mills, manual lathes, surface grinder, pedestal drills etc.
- Carrying out work in accordance with quality and productivity standards.
- Working closely with the engineering department to develop and refine ideas relating to the improvement of set up / production.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- 4 years’ experience of working in a machine shop environment
- CNC Mill programming (Hurco Ultimax preferred)

The following criteria are desirable:

- Ability to read Engineering drawings and use measurement equipment
- Extensive experience of manual tool room machinery (lathes, mills, surface grinder, etc.)
- Full Toolmaking Apprenticeship gained

This position may require shift work and applicants must be available to work shifts.
