As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you are responsible for receiving, processing and verifying invoices related to Accounts Payables.
**Client Details**
My client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy finance team on a temporary ongoing contract. They are based within the Public Sector and Government organisations and located in Bishop Auckland.
**Description**
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you are responsible for;
- Receiving and recording invoices from suppliers
- Recording and comparing invoices received with estimates and/or forecasts
- Matching and filing invoices with their matching receipts
- Producing monthly reports
- Posting transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions
- Preparing analysis of accounts
**Profile**
The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will;
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Have knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes
- Have familiarity with purchase order processes
- Have the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Have good organisational skills
