We are looking for an accounts assistant to come and work in our growing accountancy practice based in Frome. You will be working within our team to ensure that clients receive a professional and reliable service as well as providing bookkeeping, VAT and accounts production for a varied client base. The role will include will include the following and would be suited to someone with experience working in an accountancy firm or who is looking to start a career in general practice.
- Communicating with client in respect to payroll and bookkeeping requirements
- Communicating with client in respect to payroll and bookkeeping
- Providing information to clients in respect of each pay cycle
- Completing RTI submissions in line with client payroll cycles
- Bank reconciliation
- Entries onto sales and purchase ledgers
- Reviewing payables and receivable
- Reconciliation of control accounts
- Preperation of trial balances and preparing adjustments
- Preparation of financial statements

Professional Qualifications
- AAT level 4 or a willingness to complete these qualifications
- Qualified by experience

Skills and Experience
- Strong ICT skills
- Use of accounting software, e.g; Sage Payroll, Moneysoft, Xero, Quickbooks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Attention to detail
- Desire to provide excellent customer service

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
