**Bookkeeper**

We are a long established, small group of companies specialising in the residential property investment with a focus on the retirement sector. Our Bookkeeper is responsible for updating accurate financial information. The Bookkeeper will also be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, payroll and associated year end documents eg P60, P11D. The Bookkeeper will also be involved in the collection, verification, and maintenance of financial records.

**Position Details**:

- Performs daily accounting functions to include entering data, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements
- Reconciles accounts payable and receivable, manages invoices, verifies data for accuracy, reconciles general ledger accounts and maintains financial records.
- Assists with preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Assists with preparation of financial reports.
- Assists with annual audit by providing documents and information as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping; knowledge of financial software packages
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping practices and principles; ability to work within a team environment with a strong sense for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: £10,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- bookkeeping: 5 years (preferred)
