**SEN Teaching Assistant**

The School have an ASD resource provision, which personalises education for each individual so they can achieve their academic aspirations, whilst supporting and developing personal independence skills to prepare students for adulthood.

Previous experiences working with young people with Autism would be advantageous.

**Contract Details for the SEN Teaching Assistant role**:

- Location - Romsey, Hampshire
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of work - Supporting students with Autism
- Start date - Asap
- Contract type - Temporary to Permanent
- Full time/part time - Full-Time Monday to Friday
- Minimum rate of pay - £10.86 per hour or higher based on experience.

**Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the SEN Teaching Assistant role**:

- Previous LSA experience is required, ideally within Autism.
- A passion for working with children with ASD.
- Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
- You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
- Happy to undertake personal care responsibilities

**To be eligible as an SEN Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references
- Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- In-house Training and Development Team
