Lv Switchgear Estimator

Industrial Switchgear Services Ltd are looking for an experienced LV Switchgear Estimator to work in our busy sales office based in Sunderland.

This is a full time position working 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 3pm on Friday.
- Customer liaison
- Carrying out low voltage (with some HV) estimating engineering activities to help bid the following packages of work:

- LV switchgear projects
- Protection projects/upgrades
- Site installation services
- Switchgear maintenance services
- Logging of new enquiries
- The review of customer specification and technical drawings
- Bid/no bid report
- Technical estimates and quotations
- Updating of pricing spreadsheets
- General arrangement drawings (preferred but not essential)
- Quotation follow up with customers
- Prepare technical submissions to accompany quotations
- Comprehensive handover of orders to the projects team
- Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies of ISS and its clients

Work Experience Requirements

Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Minimum ONC)

Previous experience in Switchgear Estimating or Engineering Roles (Preferable)

You should have an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work under your own initiative and manage and prioritise your time effectively

A sound understanding of electrical distribution systems

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software

Pay exceeds national minimum wage.
