Evolito is a world-leading pioneer in the development of electric propulsion systems for the emerging electrification of the aerospace market.

By accelerating the adoption of electric propulsion, we will help revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free electric air transportation.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Commodity Buyer to join the team to develop and maintain relationships for categories of spend in order to support the business with direct materials for production of Evolito products.
- Key responsibilities will include:_
- Taking ownership of a defined category of spend
- Being a primary point of contact for this commodity for internal stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers within commodity scope
- Supporting tactical procurement activities such as placing POs, expediting, supplier returns, manage supplier KPIs, and invoice queries for responsible categories
- Supporting design-for-manufacture queries and co-ordinating external support for Evolito engineering departments
- Supporting sourcing, make vs buy decisions, proposing and presenting strategic decisions relating to commodity scope to internal stakeholders
- Supporting Project Managers with procurement activities for prototype builds
- Supporting the Supply Chain and Quality departments with supplier approval processes
- Supporting operations with delivery of goods for builds, managing escalation items
- Developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives, and be involved with continuous improvement activities
- Skills and experience required:_
- Previous experience in a similar role within Procurement
- CIPS Level 4 or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, or industrial)
- Previous proven experience of tactical procurement activities such as placing POs, expediting, supplier returns, manage supplier KPIs, and invoice queries for responsible categories
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proactive and positive approach to work with a creative approach to problem solving
- Good attention to detail
- Effective team player
- A flexible approach to work
- Desirable:_
- Good knowledge of range of manufacturing techniques and processes
- Experience working with MRP systems
- Experience in negotiating and monitoring long term agreements
