My client is seeking a family therapist to join a specialist eating disorder hospital located in Sutton Coldfield.

This role will contribute to the work of the hospital by conducting systemic oriented therapy with patients and families; liaising with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to clinical assessment and treatment.

Principle Duties
Clinical:

- Undertake specific therapeutic work with patients and their families in response to the clinical need, in a way which coheres with the overall treatment philosophy of the Unit. This is mainly with inpatients, but may also be with out-patients and day patients
- Maintain effective clinical records and casework notes in accordance with developing policy
- Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) participating in clinical team meetings and other departmental meetings as necessary
- Participate in relevant Clinical Audit projects as necessary.
- Attend Team meetings aimed at facilitating and enhancing team cooperation and performance
- Ability to co-work with a variety of other disciplines
- Knowledge and understanding of adolescent development
- Knowledge of other modalities
- Knowledge of and skill in using the variety of approaches within systemic practice

Professional:

- Hold a Qualification as a Family/Systemic therapist, with ideally post qualification work with adolescents
- To abide by the Code of Conduct of the Association of Family therapists
- Registered with the UKCP
- Be responsible for ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act, The Children Act, Child Protection Legislation and Policy.
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Ensure appropriate systems of communication.
- Ensure own professional supervision is maintained.

Educational:

- Maintain a professional portfolio for CPD recording learning outcomes through participation in internal and external development opportunities.
- Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
- Take responsibility for own professional & personal development through the performance and development reviews and attending all relevant training
- Identify own learning needs and highlight with clinical manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
