**Support worker for people living with HIV at the Sussex Beacon.**

You will be an integral part of this small, skilled and supportive team. You will work together to offer the best support for our client group. The community services includes: peer led casework and mentoring; twice weekly day service groups with 1:1 casework support; women’s groups; positive living programme; specialist HIV casework.

The Role:
To work within our Day Service to deliver the twice weekly groups. To offer 1:1 keywork support for the group and in the community for people living with HIV. We are looking for a support worker who can both facilitate groups and offer solution focused 1:1 support for your client group. Experience of managing a caseload, using referral pathways and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team is required.

You will be confident in facilitating our weekly day service groups and have experience of working in a trauma informed way with vulnerable adults and complex health needs.

You will have experience of working with at least one of the following: HIV; long term health conditions; substance misuse; benefits advice; homelessness.

The role is varied and rewarding and requires a flexible working approach. It will be based at our centre in Brighton, with travel required throughout Sussex. Home visits are a part of this role and access to a car and current driving license is ideal.

The Sussex Beacon is a charity supporting people living with HIV in Sussex for over 30 years. We offer flexible working hours, 27 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays and pensions contribution. We are supportive of our employees and passionate about we do.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,948.00 per year
