There is so much to see and do at Wroxham Barns, including shopping in craft studios, delicious food from the onsite café and coffee shop, and seasonal fun on Junior Farm and Fun Park.

At Wroxham Barns there are three catering outlets; Courtyard Cafe, Farmyard Café and the Greedy Goat.

Each café offers refreshments using local suppliers and fresh and wholesome ingredients. Open daily, the cafes offer a wide selection of light bites, home cooked meals, hearty sandwiches, sweet and savoury treats, homemade cakes and pastries, afternoon tea, plus barista coffee for the perfect latte or cappuccino.

You will be required to work flexibly in terms of days and hours to meet the needs of the business.

Weekends, Bank Holiday, and Norfolk School Holidays working is an expectation at all levels within the company.

This role reports to the Catering Manager.

Working previously in a catering environment is preferred but not essential.

**DUTIES**

The Catering Assistant role will be assisting with duties, including but not limited to:

- Cooking and serving in the Greedy Goat (our catering trailer) cooking and serving loaded fries and making and serving drinks.
- Cooking and serving food in out Courtyard cafe serving a range of light lunches.
- Maintain and adhere to high health and safety standards of the catering department. Following in place procedures and reporting any issues to senior staff;
- Providing a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, taking orders with till operation, and providing information on products, menu and allergens if required;
- Food running to customers and check on the provision of cutlery;
- Prepare hot drinks via a barista machine;
- Assisting in maintaining stock levels on products at serveries and till points;
- Ensuring a high standard of presentation and that servery and dining areas are clean at all times and that catering cleaning schedules are completed;
- Ensuring café tidiness through changing bins, clearing tables, pot wash, cleaning catering areas and litter pick.

**Salary**: Minimum wage

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £6.40-£13.70 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 20 per week
