Stockport, United Kingdom APEM Full time

**About The Role**:
**Why Join Us?**

Woodrow is a leading terrestrial ecology division of the APEM Group in Ireland, providing ecological surveys for a wide range of developments. Our dedicated bat survey team is looking for someone to join our team and assist in carrying out static detector and roost surveys on a variety of sites during the upcoming field season. During the rest of the year, you will be working on other terrestrial ecology projects, such as report writing.

We are currently branching our work into the offshore windfarm space, a brand new-field and exciting opportunity for you to work on data in these projects. This is an exciting opening for a Graduate ecologist who is passionate about the conservation of bats and wants to contribute to the delivery of ecological surveys for a range of developments.

**About you**

You will hold a degree in ecology or other relevant discipline or have had good relevant experience. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to carry heavy equipment. You will also work in various weather conditions and outside of normal hours, as bats are nocturnal

You will eager to learn from other experts in the bat sector. To support this, you will split your time between participating in field surveys and working in the office in Sligo. This will allow you to receive the right kind of training and development and give you the opportunity to learn from your mentors. We are, however, an organisation that values work life balance, and there will also be some occasional remote working.

Any experience with data analysis, or any proven data manipulation is advantageous. A general interest in bats would be a must for this role, and any field survey experience would be desired.
