Reed Secure are working with a local authority who are looking to recruit **Senior Child Protection Solicitor**
- **Pay rate £30 - £55 per hour DOE**:

- **Main location: Bury - Hybrid -Full time only**:

- **Temporary contract for up to24/04/2023 with potential of being extended**

Our Client is looking for someone to provide the effective execution of legal work arising out of decisions of the Council or its Committees with particular emphasis on Social Services, in particular child protection and related matters.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice to instructing departments of the Authority, primarily Children's Services in relation to procedural issues, policy matters individual case studies and statutory duties/powers relating to child protection encompassing.
- Advise instructing departments in creating and revising policy and procedure documents/guidelines in respect of practice and statutory duties
- Ensure accurate and adequate legal advice is given in relation enquiries/queries from Elected Members
- Advise instructing departments of changes in legislation government guidelines and case law decisions which may affect service provision.
