A neighbourhood restaurant in Manchester is on the lookout for the best in hospitality to join our team.

To operate the bar area, focusing on exceeding the expectations of the customer - providing the best possible experience incorporating EMBANKMENT KITCHEN’s standards of service requirements at all times whilst adhering to financial guidelines and supporting the business.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

PRODUCT & SERVICE QUALITY:

- To ensure the service standards and timings are delivered at all times
- To demonstrate excellent knowledge of drink, service and EMBANKMENT KITCHEN culture
- To assist the management team in restaurant opening, operation and closing to the required standards
- Work with all team members to ensure development of customer relationships and creation of loyal regulars

BUSINESS PROMOTION & SALES:

- Take responsibility for the Bar area.
- To have a pro-active view towards promotions, sales and up selling & to be involved in coaching and training staff in suggestive selling skills

HUMAN RESOURCES, RECRUITMENT, TRAINING & RETENTION:

- To be responsive to all training provided and to attend all relevant training sessions
- To act as a role model to all new employees, by showing a positive approach to team spirit through support and positive communication
- Full commitment to service standards & training plans for new employees

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION:

- To be responsible for designated shift cash outs and cash management and, to secure the opening/ close of the business.
- To be responsible for the correct till procedures and use of till along with correct cash reconciliation

TECHNICAL SKILLS & GENERAL:

- To comply with all Licensing legislation
- To adhere to all company rules, regulations and procedures
- To communicate any potential problems to the Manager and take a pro-active approach to their resolution
- To consistently demonstrate attention to detail with regards to standards
- To adhere to all food hygiene and Health & Safety requirements and standards
- To be responsible in absence of the Manager.
- To perform any task pertinent to the operation as directed by the Manager.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
