A new opportunity exits to join our Planning team, where you will contribute to the delivery of the Development Management aspects of the Authority’s statutory local planning function through the processing of planning casework relating to building heritage conservation, tree preservation orders, hedgerow regulations and enforcement.

**You will**:

- provide technical support on all matters relating to building heritage conservation, tree preservation orders, hedgerow regulations and enforcement including responding to general queries.
- assist with the prioritization of enforcement investigations and undertake minor enforcement investigations.
- assist the Building Conservation Officer in undertaking the monitoring and review of Conservation Area boundaries, including preparing documents, undertaking photographic surveys and supporting all elements of required public consultation.
- attend and assist at public meetings, consultations, planning appeal hearings and prepare written representation statements as required.

**You will need**:

- to be educated to A level standard with GCSEs in English and Maths.
- good IT skills, with expertise in use of databases and spreadsheets, and Geographical Information Systems.
- good communication and people skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person.
- a full UK drivers’ licence.

**Salary and Benefits**:
A salary of £22,777-£24,054 (to be reviewed under pay and grading review), minimum 26 days holiday rising to 31 days plus public holidays, generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.

- yn mynychu a chynorthwyo mewn cyfarfodydd cyhoeddus, ymgynghoriadau, gwrandawiadau apêl cynllunio a pharatoi datganiadau sylwadau ysgrifenedig yn ôl yr angen.
