**About The Role**:
ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Scrum Master to join the Technology & Change team.

We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office once a week to work with the team. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The principle accountability or a scrum master within Homeserve is to coach and facilitate the

agile development process and ensure that the Scrum team follows the Scrum framework

effectively in pursuit of business change delivery.

Key role accountabilities include:

- The Scrum Master will act as a facilitator, helping the Scrum team and other

stakeholders understand and practise Scrum principles and values.
- Management of the backlog of activity ensuring that estimates and prioritisation is

undertaken effectively and consistently.
- Ensure that scrum disciples and events, such as stand-ups, planning and

retrospectives are conducted effectively.
- Facilitate communication between the Scrum team and stakeholders ensuring that

there is a clear understanding of project progress, and any issues or concerns are

addressed promptly.
- Management of conflicts or disagreements within the team or with external

stakeholders owning the identification and remediation activity.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team including activities

such as Sprint Retrospectives, where the team reflects on their processes and

identifies areas for improvement.
- Collection and analysis of metrics to track the progress and performance,

velocity, identify bottlenecks and areas for continuous improvements.
- Working with colleagues across the technology and change functions to help with the

Identification and removal of impediments that hinder the progress.
- Empower the team to self-organise and make decisions fostering a culture of

ownership and accountability among team members.
- Ability to continually drive the change from traditional waterfall to Agile delivery

methodologies.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and

Essential:
As the Scrum Master, you will have
- Proven experience managing and delivering primarily tech solutions in part of which

within an agile environment.
- Operational experience within a regulatory environment
- Experienced in reporting to senior level
- Able to convert technical jargon to a senior business audience
- Influential and articulate presentation skills
- Relevant Professional Qualification: Scrum Master
- Knowledge of requirements gathering, solution design, full project lifecycle delivery
- Experience with Scrum teams and scrum process
- Experience in project or development management

Desirable:

- Developed a team into a High-Performance team
- Agile Coaching qualification
