Physiotherapy Assistant for Orthopaedics

The Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapy Assistant, ideally with previous experience in acute areas of Physiotherapy, to join our us at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

You will support in the assessment and implementation of Physiotherapy intervention with patients referred to the service as well as taking on your own caseload delegated by the physiotherapists.

You will work across 2 wards with possible further opportunities to support other teams.

This is a part time post for 22.5 hours per week, ideally across 3 days.

To support Physiotherapists in the delivery of care to patients by treating patients in accordance with agreed guidelines and treatment regime.

To provide skilled routine, and some non-routine, clinical and non-clinical support to the Physiotherapy team, following guidelines which have been agreed and set by the physiotherapists.

To develop skilled treatment sessions through training and competencies
