Anaesthetic Practitioner

**Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) - Temporary Position**:
Spire Healthcare Ltd is looking for an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) to join a specialist team at Spire Washington Hospital in Rickleton, Washington. This is a temporary position starting on 02/12/2023 and ending on 02/12/2023 with shift hours from 08:00:00 until 17:00:00. The payment rate for this role is £312.30 per shift.

An Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) is an important part of the healthcare team responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthetic care to patients. They work in collaboration with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibility of the Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) is to assist the consultant in providing safe and effective anaesthetic care to the patients. This includes the following key duties:

- Assessing and preparing patients for anaesthesia according to the clinical procedures and protocols
- Administering drugs and other anaesthetics, making calculations for dosage and monitoring patient's vital signs during the procedure
- Setting up and maintaining the anaesthetic equipment
- Monitoring patient's condition during the procedure and intervening if necessary
- Providing support and advice to other healthcare professionals

- Maintaining accurate patient records

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in anaesthetic practice
- Registered and in good standing with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Strong clinical knowledge of anaesthetic care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing situations
- Ability to think on your feet and take initiative
