Hgv Mechanic

Established in 1989, Acre Industrial Services is a leading contractor in the Industrial and Environmental Services sector, we have successfully served British Industry for over 30 years We require an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join our existing team. The purpose of the role is to assist our Fleet Services Manager in ensuring that our vehicles are maintained to a high standard (DVSA & Company), and ready to respond to our client's needs at a moments notice.

We operate from busy depots in Houston, Renfrewshire and Cowie Stirlingshire, and have a wide range of blue chip customers and a diverse customer base

**About The Fleet You Would Be Taking Care Of**:
We operate a mixed fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles comprising of mainly Volkswagen vans, Volvo and DAF tractor units and rigid vehicles. Along with a variety of specialist equipment in addition to our standard tanker trailers and skip trucks, such as Disabs, Vactors or Truck Mounted High Pressure Jetting Units.

Applicants should have solid experience in the duties listed below:
**Duties will include**
- Preparing HGVs for MOT
- Conducting PFM and Vehicle Services
- Routine Vehicle Maintenance
- Conducting General Vehicle Inspections
- Completion of all necessary documentation in line with legal requirements and company policy and procedures
- Planned Project work such as refurbishment of existing equipment and building of replacement specialist equipment vehicles
- Completing all of the above to a high standard in line with DVSA guidelines while adhering to company standard operating procedures.
