**The Company**

Oscar is pleased to introduce a new opportunity for a Database Administrator for a growing company based in the Northeast. A key point of this role is that you will be working with Azure, cloud hosted database systems but we don't need previous experiencein this as they can offer on the job training.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis with around 3 days a month in the office. We do recommend being able to drive given the office location.

**The role**

You will be joining a small team and report to the Lead DBA. The team is responsible for data architecture, security, movement and availability across their SQL Estate which has very recently been migrated to Azure.

This is a classic DBA role really; you will be looking after their databases as well as some SSIS and SSRS and you will see a bit of both of those within the role. They do have an ERP system which runs of their databases as well as their own software, soit is essential that they have good database systems.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for all business data and databases.
- Assists with the discovery of, design and implementation of automated data tasks to minimise manual work and improve efficiency and accuracy throughout business.
- Responsible for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of database services to ensure business continuity and systems performance.
- Responsible for the integrity and data security throughout the business.
- Design and development of reporting services including the maintenance & design of new reports for the business as required.
- Responsible for data analysis for a number of Internal Key Stakeholders, Database reporting, query writing and data extraction

**Skills Required**:

- Experience as a SQL DBA, ideally 2-3 years - something around there would be perfect.
- T-SQL - must be able to write queries
- Database Security
- Troubleshooting and Performance Monitoring, Installation, Configuration and Upgrade
- SSMS
