Provide practical support in multiple construction trades. E.g. plastering, joinery, plumbing, kitchen fitting, roofing etc
- Train and supervise labourers, apprentices & volunteers
- Identify risks associated with H&S and ensuring preventative controls are in place
- Deliver high quality works and exceptional customer service
- Monitor costs associated with renovation projects
- Plan schedules of work, organise resources and meet time critical deadlines
**Requirements: knowledge & skills**
- A minimum of 5 years, time served practical construction experience.
- Multi-skilled in areas of construction E.G. plastering, joinery, plumbing, kitchen fitting, roofing, etc.
- Has experience of property renovations and modernisation.
- Is safety conscious and can assess risks associated with activities. Has an understanding of H&S hazards, current regulations, legislation, codes of practice and safe working practices.
- Ability to monitor costs and work to project budgets.
- Experience of training and developing apprentices and volunteers
- Has planning and organisational skills to help manage and carry out ongoing repairs and maintenance
- An understanding of the charity and or social housing sectors would be advantageous

**About us**
East Cleveland Youth Housing Trust was established in response to an identified need to tackle youth unemployment and lack of affordable housing. The trust is based in Skelton at the heart of the rural villages of East Cleveland. It has grown steadily over a period of 23 years, building up an asset base of 18 properties and providing personalised support to 75+ unique service users annually. ECYHT works to prevent homelessness by increasing the long-term availability of supported housing stock. This is done through a process of acquiring run-down properties, renovating, and then letting them as homes for people in housing need.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
