Bedford, United Kingdom Primary Care Careers Full time

**About the Role**:
Wootton Vale and Shortstown Surgery is a forward thinking and innovative practice, looking to recruit a health care coordinator to join our dynamic team, on a full-time or part-time basis, although this is a permanent position, we will consider flexible contract options.

We embrace new ways of working and welcome ideas to change the way our clinicians work, to bring more variety into their days. We work closely with our local commissioners and enjoy taking part in pilot projects and pride ourselves on our good patient access achievement.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated, and care-driven individual, to join our dedicated Clinical Liaison Team. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate a talent for helping our patients to achieve the best clinical outcome and is looking to build a career in the healthcare sector, therefore, previous experience is not essential, as we will provide the necessary training.

Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours, to cover for colleagues.

For further information on the role, please refer to the attached job description and person specification.

If you are organised, flexible and resourceful, and can work under pressure in a busy environment then we'd love to hear from you.
- Experienced in medical administration, with primary care experience desirable.
- Excellent IT skills, including previous experience of Microsoft Office packages and patient information systems being desirable.
- Adaptable, friendly, and self-motivated, with strong administration, time-management, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communicators, who work in a confidential and discreet manner and can think on their feet.
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as being comfortable working independently.

**About Us**:
We are a friendly surgery with a list size of 16,000 patients, over two sites, Wootton Vale, (MK43 9JJ), and branch site Shortstown Surgery, (MK42 0GS). We have good appointment access, which translates to happy patients, and a strong teamwork ethos, that includes an established clinical pharmacy team, GPs, nurses, physician associates and a clinical liaison team, who look after the clinical staff.

Our practice ethos is to provide traditional levels of patient care and friendliness, through innovation, supported by the latest technology. We work closely with our community partners and with the other GP practices within our primary care network.

Our dedicated team comprises of:

- 1 GP partner,
- 4 salaried GPs,
- A multi-skilled nursing team, including nurse prescribers, 2 practice nurses and a nurse associate,
- 2 clinical pharmacists and a pharmacy technician,
- Dedicated management, clinical support, administrative and reception teams.
