Kitchen Porter

Downham Market Academy are seeking a new member of staff to join our catering team.

To support and provide general assistance to the catering staff, duties will range from washing pots, clearing and tidying of the kitchen and kitchen equipment and to helping with stock checks and unloading food supplies goods being delivered to the school.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pot washing
- Unloading and putting away deliveries
- Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
- Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
- Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
- To be customer focused at all times, by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
- To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers; to seek the appropriate knowledge of food items sold throughout catering areas and to keep areas and service counters clean and fully stocked.

The role is a term time only role with working hours of 9am-2pm each day.

Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
