**The Opportunity**

We are looking for flood hydraulic modellers and technical specialists to play a key role in delivering flood risk management projects. We are looking for people passionate about rivers, flooding, and the environment. We specialise in delivering innovative solutions on both a local and catchment scale, founded on nature-based systems and novel, low-carbon technology.

You will be joining a technical delivery team working collaboratively with colleagues across our multidisciplinary firm on a wide variety of projects of global and national importance. With secured frameworks, we have a strong forward pipeline of opportunities with clients who share our passion for shaping a better world such as the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.

We invest in our own bespoke research to develop our knowledge and digital tools, often working with partners. You will have the opportunity to experience all levels of engineering, science, and research and learn from a welcoming, talented team around you.

**Is this role right for you?**

We're looking for an early to mid-career hydraulic modeller with curiosity, personal drive, and technical know-how. You will be as inspired as we are by the problems we are solving and excited to be part of the team delivering the solutions. Experience in the water and environment sector is preferred.

If you have all or some of these skills and experience, and a willingness and passion to work in our team, we’d like to hear from you. We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:
Essential
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. civils engineering, geography) / Aspiration to work toward professional accreditation
- Experience using hydraulic modelling software (preferably Flood Modeller, ESTRY, and TUFLOW) as well as using GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- A desire to learn, work in a team, and produce high-quality work you are proud of.
- Experience writing technical hydraulic modelling reports
- Abilities in delivering optioneering, appraisal and justification of FCERM projects and nature-based solutions.
- Experience developing FCERM business cases.
- Willingness to investigate innovative solutions to solve difficult modelling challenges
- Digital/coding skills such as Python, FME, excel.
